At Oli de Son Mir, they take their work very seriously. They produce a small amount of olive oil, with 6,123 olive trees in production, but the quality is extreme and the flavor unmatched, thanks to a blend of two perfectly complementary varieties, specially grown in the soils and climate characteristic of Mallorca. The Picual variety provides stability, complexity, and enhances the nuances of the Arbequina, which contributes fresh and fruity notes. The result is a balanced, smooth, and very pleasant oil, whose qualities are detailed in the tasting note.
It is part of the Protected Designation of Origin (Denominación de Origen Protegida (DOP)) Oli de Mallorca, which guarantees the quality and authenticity of the oil produced on the island. This certification covers the entire process, from cultivation to packaging, allowing only the Empeltre, Arbequina, and Picual varieties.
